Fear thy peoples!

I came back from Singapore (a post on that upcoming) to a completely different country. Over the course of the weekend while I was loitering the streets of Singapore the Opposition party gave the ruling Barisan Nasional a good kick to the testicles by denying them of a 2/3 majority.

Yes they still aren't technically the winners, but they did win 4 states over while keeping Kelantan. My home state is now under Opposition control which is teh koolz.

So what exactly is different?

Well now that Selangor is no longer under Khir Toyo the toyol, our new Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim proposed to abolish the Official Secrets Act (OSA) within the state. This basically means that ALL records regarding state administration will be completely visible to the public. And yes this includes financial records which will clearly show which corrupt official had stuck his hand into the cookie jar.

Here comes the LOL part... Let me introduce to you a certain man named Zakaria Deros. He is the former Port Klang state assemblyman. Perhaps you know of him because of his big-ass mansion in Klang; a mansion with 21 bathrooms and 16 bedrooms (Now why would you need so many bathrooms? Only if you're full of shit...) which sparked controversy in 2006 as it was quite illegally built and maintained.

But that's not the point here. The point here is how does an ex-railway man own a palace? A politician's job in Malaysia surely doesn't pay as much as it does in Singapore. If you're jumping up and down on your seat right now proclaiming that he got dirty money through the state I'd tell you to shut up and hand you the Captain Obvious award.

Thus when Mr Abdul Khalid announced that he wanted to rid the state of the OSA, naturally Mr Zakaria Deros had a severe case of ball-shrink. They probably shrunk to the size of ant's balls right before he died of a heart attack. Yes he actually did. Die of a heart attack I mean - the former is physically impossible.

I can only think of one word to sum it all up:

On an unrelated note...
